This place is secluded and a place to get away from it all. Yes you have to drive to get dinner but they make that clear on their website and the options around the area make for a lovely evening out. The rooms are clean and spacious with the best view out of them. Peaceful and relaxing. The host was delightful, so accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was simple and all we needed to get back on the road to our next destination. Wonderful stay and we can’t wait to go back!

Amazing views, amazing location and amazing Team and service. I would highly recommend this place for a couples retreat away from the rat race. Only 15 minutes from the heart of Coles Bay you’ll be close enough to enjoy everything that Coles bay has to offer without the crowds. Book the echo retreat cabins for that extra level of luxury and seclusion. The Team of people looking after us were super friendly and nothing was a problem. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape for a night or more. Kevin and Tracey

I really did not expect much when I booked this - I thought it was a tiny property with a few shipping container type units. Boy was I wrong! It’s an enormous parcel at the top of a mountain with gorgeous views over the the bay and the ocean! There are kangaroos and other wildlife everywhere. There are amazing pieces of art and statuary. The units are compact but very comfortable and nice - every need has been anticipated. The main lodge is another amazing place with incredible views, telescopes, games, books, beer and wine to purchase, wonderful breakfast buffet and plenty of comfortable seating. We had so much fun watching a group of Kangas who came right up to the lodge in the evening. My only regret is that we did not book a longer stay!

Pros: Great location for sunset/sunrise pending weather. Fun games and vending machines in the shared lobby. Basic spread for breakfast, but at least it was provided! All amenities were provided :) Cons: Lobby closed at 9:30 which was a bit early! Our bathroom flooded quite a bit from the shower around the toilet.

We stayed two nights at Freycinet Resort. The resort is very secluded, located on a hill with a 4km gravel road leading up to the reception and rooms. Staff were amazing! They don’t offer dinner which is a shame but opening a restaurant in 2024. They did let us know beforehand that if we wanted dinner we needed to bring our own - they do have cheese platters though that looked great. There are some trails around the property but not heaps of other activities around. Ideally there would have been more space between the villas as they are all fairly close together. Great for a two night relaxing stay with a fantastic view from the rooms.

Really lovely friendly staff who went out of their way to please. Gorgeous suite with lovely extra touches, really comfortable quality furnishings and the bed was divine… so comfortable. I loved the telescope in the room

Such a great position and view. Clean, comfortable with everything you need for your stay. A good breakfast offering. We took advantage of the shared area in the evening as the town itself shuts up fairly early. Good to note the 4km unsealed road leading up to the resort in the wet weather may need a 4WD or more robust vehicle.

Quite remote on top of a hill.. distant sea views both sides of Coles Bay. Has an art walk through the bush… kangaroos possums… 8 separate cabins with deck kitchen if you want to self cater… common room packed with games etc and breakfast provided. Very accommodating nothing is a problem!
